Chris Brown's Apology. What do you think?

I haven't spoken on the Chris Brown/Rihanna incident, mainly because I really didn't know what to think about the situation. I mean, I do believe that Chris Brown handled her in a way that a woman NEVER needs to be handled. Since there is not video of the incident, we will never know exactly what went down, because we all know that if they both speak on this incident, it will be a matter of he say/she say. Anyways, Chris Brown issued a video apology yesterday. It seems sincere, but practiced. I would like to know what you think of the situation and apology. Lets discuss it.

Dat pic looks like Chris Brown was krumpin ... and her face was da stage. I cant really judge him, cuz I dont kno wut really happened, and I dont kno wut she did or said (u kno Black women will dare a nigga to hit them). But, I find this apology useless. First of all, he didnt say wut he is apologizing for. What happened??!? Second of all, this idea Chris Brown is supposed to be a role model -- y r celebrities supposed to be role models? Do u think becuz Dennis Rodman grabs a few rebounds, I should try to be like him in every area of my life? If Dennis Rodman wants to be my rebounding role model ... great. If Chris Brown wants to be my singing role model ... great. If Chris Brown wants to be my relationship counselor ... Ill pass. I dont care if Chris Brown hits Rihanna wit All White Bricks, if dat nigga makes good music Im coppin the album! Got nothin to do wit him being my role model. This gets on my nerves!

After watching this video I couldn't decipher if it was a real apology. Before I continue on this story, I want to address that shirt he is wearing. I don't know if it's just me or does it look like he may have on an adult "Onesie" .... Read the rest: http://thechemicalsofllife.blogspot.com/

I dunna bruh, I'm the type of dude that NEVER advocates hitting a woman, there are other ways to handle the situation. But I also don't judge folk either. I mean he made a mistake...fine we all do. But we're not in the public like he is; should celebs be held to a higher standard? HMMM...anwyway, as far as the apology...i give a 6ish. I mean it sounded nice but with all the writers and publicists and image consultants these celebs have on staff they can make the most illertate, the most eloquent. For me, its whatever...I've never been big on apologies. I'm about results. Show me difference, we know what happened. That being said, I really don't care about Chris Brown enough to care if America accepts his apology or not, I would just hate to see him on TV in six weeks "speakin out" against domestic violence. Oh, and can we get some comment on the Vick reistatemnet P.O.L.R.???

I think Chris brown is right for apologizing, but I am not sure if he went far enough. He was being vague obviously to avoid any legal ramifications, but in doing so, he lost the effectiveness of his apology. It just didn't seem strong enough to me for the offense committed. At any rate, it's better than nothing.

MAN!!! I have never seen a more staged, and emotional detached speech. I mean yea it was needed, however we can all see that he's just doing it because somebody made him. I do believe that he is sorry! however he delivery should have been much different.

I don't want to make any hasty judgments on whether or not Chris Brown is being sincere in this apology, but it looks like he's reading the words that he's saying. He was like, "What I did was totally inexcusable?!!" Could he at least try not to look surprised at what he's saying...eyes getting all big, and what not!!

After viewing this video I cannot say that he wasn't sincere in his apology but I think that it wasn't written by him therefore to me it came off as not a true reflection of what he had to say about the situation. I cannot speculate on what actually went down but if he wanted his apology to be more of a realistic depiction of what he feels he needed to write the apology himself.
